Lily Booker is facing the harsh reality of the economic downturn—she’s out of a job and out of options. Forced to move back in with her parents, she must navigate the awkward dynamics of living under their roof again while dealing with the crushing weight of adult failure. As Lily tries to pick up the pieces of her life, she’s confronted by her overbearing mother, her laid-back father, and her own pride as she grapples with the financial and emotional mess the recession has left in its wake.
With humor and heart, Current Economic Conditions explores the pressures of modern adulthood, the challenges of returning home, and the bittersweet reality of growing up in a world that’s often out of our control. A sharp and relatable comedy that shines a light on the struggle to stay afloat when everything seems to be sinking.
